Domenico De Masi is professor emeritus of Labor Sociology at La Sapienza University in Rome. He founded S3-Studium, Scuola di Specializzazione in Scienze Organizzative (School of Specialization in Organizational Sciences), the Italian teleworking company Società italiana di Telelavoro (SIT) and NEXT magazine. He mainly dedicates his time to training and to socio-organizational research. In 2005 he received the Premio Leonardo Qualità Italia.

In this conference, Domenico De Masi will illustrate the damages of the existing neo-liberal economy and the opportunities that could arise from a supportive economy.

Target audience: Graduates of any age and profession who want to understand – paraphrasing Woody Allen says – where we come from, where we’re going and what we’re having for dinner tonight.
Prerequisites: the participants are asked to read a text by Keynes, that will be sent to them at the moment of registration.
The workshop is divided into four half days, and will treat the following topics: what is post-industrial society; how work changes; what is creativity; what is aesthetics.
Every half day will start with a conversation with the teacher and will continue with exercises and discussions.
