Issue 78 of COLORS celebrates DANCE, an age-old form of communication and expression that has always provided a mirror for society and a magnetic tool for bringing people together. COLORS has explored dance in its many styles, symbolisms, languages and rituals. From the intimate and personal story of Cuban dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta to those of numerous dancers ‘from the rest of the world’ who, thanks to the infinite potential of YouTube, the world’s new dancefloor, have succeeded in expressing their art and creativity and making their dreams and ambitions a reality.
At newsagents, bookshops and in the iTunes App Store from October 2010 in three bilingual editions (English + Italian, French or Spanish). Beginning with COLORS issue 78, a Korean edition will also be launched, thanks to an agreement with publishers The Dawn Ltd., of Seoul.

L'INFERNO DI DANTE. A NATURAL HISTORY.
A selection of illustrations from the book "L'Inferno di Dante. Una storia naturale" is being exhibited in Milan, at Fnac Bookstore from 13 to 26 September.
Dante's Inferno has been illustrated and commentated by Fabrica for Mondadori.
Over 300 illustrations, all produced by hand using a range of different techniques, complete with comments. A meticulous work offering readers a fresh and original interpretation of one of the greatest literary masterpieces of all time.
Fabrica, faithful to its experimental ethos, entrusted this revisitation to two young British artists, Patrick Waterhouse and Walter Hutton, who took up the challenge with the fresh spirit of two explorers setting out to discover a new world to describe.
The result is a work that subverts the traditional visual representation of this poem. An imposing mosaic of figures, pictures and comments on the characters in the Divine Comedy, organised around a central idea: exploration of the real and mythological vicissitudes in the style and manner typical of natural history texts. While traditional portrayals of the Inferno focus above all on the dramatic aspect of the situations and the pathos of the scenes, the work of the two young Englishmen concentrates instead on the details of the characters and the complex historic and metaphorical universe of Dante.
