Biography:

Dossofiorito are the designers Livia Rossi (1980) and Gianluca Giabardo (1982). The studio, whose name comes from an old salvaged neon sign, was founded in 2012 in Verona, Italy.

In a former car workshop in the suburbs of town, the duo carries out in an empiric way its researches on forms and materials, aiming to combine in their projects a wide contextual research with an innovative use of craft.

The work of Livia and Gianluca spans from self-initiated collections of objects to commissions from institutions, companies and private customers; from site specific installations to the ideation and conduction of children workshops. Although varied, many of Dossofiorito’s projects share a performative character and an attitude to stimulate deeper considerations trespassing the physicality of the objects and their immediate fruition.
