Fabrica at xCoAx 2017

Area: Design

Fabrica has been invited to participate at the 2017 edition of xCoAx, an international conference that promotes the discussion and discovery of synergies at the frontiers of digital arts, that will take place in Lisbon on July 6th and 7th.

Fabrica will present at the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea(MNAC) a selection of artworks from Table of Contents, a collection designed for the Zürich gallery Roehrs & Boetsch where glass is a medium for questioning human nature and perception, and Recognition, an artificial intelligence program that compares up-to-the-minute photojournalism from Reuters with British art from the Tate collection. Recognition is the winner of the IK Prize 2016, an award launched by Tate, in partnership with Microsoft.

xCoAx is an international conference that promotes the discussion and discovery of synergies at the frontiers of digital arts, in the form of a multidisciplinary questioning on aesthetics, computing, communication and the elusive X factor that connects them all. After previous editions in Bergamo, Porto and Glasgow, the 2017 edition will take place in Lisbon, including a conference at FBAUL, performance sessions at ZDB and an exhibition at the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (MNAC, Rua Capelo).
