Punk: 40 years later. A conversation with John Holmstrom. This is the title of the event organized by Fabrica in collaboration with Treviso Comic Book Festival, that will take on Wednesday, September 21st at 6.30pm.
John Holmstrom is the author and founder of Punk Magazine, the first fanzine that, in 1976, launched the punk movement and contributed to the success of many bands, like Blondie, Ramones e Dead Boys. He is also famous for having realized posters, t-shirts, album covers, books and CDs for Ramones, Dandy Warhols, Rolling Stones, 50 Kaitenz e Murphy’s Law.
The conversation will trace the history of the punk movement enriched by anecdotes of the New York scene and will be stimulated by journalist Mario Bonaldi (Rolling Stone magazine) and Roger Brunello, aka Roger Ramone, translator specialized in UK/USA subcultures related to music, social and football, deejay with a more than fifteen-year-long experience and rock singer.
