Lost in Computation, realized by Jonas Eltes on the occasion of UNESCO International Mother Language Day, has been selected by Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) to participate at “Open Codes. Living in Digital Words”, that is taking place in Karlsruhe from October 20 to August 5, 2018.
The artwork is a multilingual conversation between two Chatbot AIs (Artificial Intelligence) trained in Swedish and Italian, translated through Google Translate, exploring how the multiple layers of computation in today’s digital landscape distort our communication.
With” Open Codes. Living in Digital Worlds”, the ZKM has gathered around 120 artistic and scientific works presenting the fantastic possibilities for an individual experiencing and shaping of the world through the knowledge and use of codes.
