Alberto comes from Tuscany, Italy, and has joined since some months our Editorial area. He’s a music editor and currently supports our video team with his creations. Learn more about him in the interview below!
Can you describe in no more than 30 words who you are and what you do?
My name’s Alberto, I’m a 22-year-old computer science student, I sing in an alt-rock band, I’m a passionate photographer and I’m a content marketing (B2C) enthusiast. I’ve recently joined Fabrica as a music editor in the video department.
What do you expect from your year at Fabrica?
I’m sure I will grow professionally and artistically, I will give and take, I’ll do my best, I will improve my English, I will have fun and I will push my skills to the limit, realising my ideas and supporting those of others. Fabrica is a place full of inspiration, possibilities, motivation and creativity: it’s impossible to go home empty-handed.
What inspires you most?
I get inspired by everything that is around me: we live in a world rich of wonders, of colors and creativity, of sounds and emotions, of communication and of solitude. Probably nature is what inspires me most.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“Apri di più i ritornelli, puoi usare anche i bassi.” Literally “Open your choruses more, you can also use lows.” I don’t know how to translate this properly. It means that I should make the choruses sound wider, they should pop more and, to do that, I can work on low frequencies too, instead of focussing only on panning and highs.
What do you miss of your home and what do you like of Treviso?
I miss forests, hills and small Tuscan towns, I miss the lightheartedness, I miss some friends and some situations, I don’t like the traffic of Treviso, mosquitos and the temperature here. I still have to know Treviso and its sorroundings but judging by my first days here I like it a lot! It’s nice living here, a lot of cool places and things to discover.
