Colors magazine, Academy of Art University San Francisco and the Italian Cultural Institute are proud to present a special event celebrating art, creativity and diversity with a lecture and an exhibition featuring the magazine’s latest issue, Money.
Ponzano, April 2008 - Enrico Bossan and Erik Ravelo, the editorial and creative directors of Colors magazine along with Babak Payami, acclaimed director of video and film at Fabrica, will present Colors magazine’s latest issue, Money, devoted to the world economy, and launch a collaborative venture between the Academy of Art University and Fabrica.
Enrico Bossan, Erik Ravelo and Babak Payami will review the work of selected students at the Academy of Art University who are interested in joining Fabrica’s creative team in Italy. Candidates chosen by the selection committee will be offered a one-year, all-fees-paid scholarship to live in Treviso and work with the creative team of Fabrica.
79 Gallery will host a photography exhibition featuring Colors 73/Money and an installation of a giant podium made of flattened issues of Colors, where the magazine cover is a 100-dollar bill aimed at questioning the role of money and the relationship society has with it.
Another exhibition, Colors: Past and Present, featuring all 73 original issues of Colors magazine, among them some rare copies, will also be on view at the Italian Cultural Institute, San Francisco from April 18 – May 17, 2008.
