Jeremy Mende
Jeremy Mende is a visual designer from San Francisco who believes, among other things, that beauty does have a social value.
If questioned he will deny being a Modernist but will enthusiastically advocate for authenticity and intuition, as well as their critical roles in producing things of value and durability.
Jeremy received his BA in psychology from UCLA and his MFA in design from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He runs a small, creative design practice in San Francisco called MendeDesign, and teaches design history and critical theory at Caifornia College of the Arts. He is currently the Franklin D. Israel Fellow in Design at the American Academy in Rome.
