Fabrica takes part in the 14th edition of Lago Film Fest with two documentaries competing in the Veneto Section and a musical performance.
The first documentary, entitled Beatrice, tells the story of the fencing champion Bebe Vio. Directed by the young Venezuelan resident Lorena Alvarado with a team of young creatives from Fabrica, the short documentary is produced by Fabrica in collaboration with the Italian Paralympic Committee in Veneto.
The second documentary in competition is Drew Nikonowicz – Notes from Anywhere, a portrait of the young photographer from Saint Louis, Missouri, realized by Fabrica’s videomaker Mattia Mura. The story of a talented young artist, but also an invitation to travel and exceed our limits.
Trace Yourself, the musical performance of Akanksha Krishnani, aka Trapeze, former Fabrica resident of Indian and Spanish origins, is also the title of Akanksha’s latest album curated and composed during her scholarship at Fabrica, in collaboration with four other Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam based Electronic musicians. Each artist tested their DNA through the Ancestral Origins Test and created a musical track based on the DNA results. The product is a mélange of sounds that tells the emotions through the music and cancels the differences dictated by society represented by language and territorial boundaries.
