On Saturday 17 December Fabrica opens its doors for a day of shopping, workshops, music, street food and a lot of creativity!

An unmissable opportunity to look for original gift ideas or simply spend some time in the beautiful architecture of Tadao Ando.

Numerous makers have joined the initiative – all with particular attention to the responsible use of materials – with a very wide range of products: clothing, bijoux, fashion accessories, floral art, items for children, design objects, furniture, art prints, stationary, illustrations, books, organic products and seeds for urban agriculture.

Fabricanti Alberto, Kate and Riccardo will take you into their world by offering you an original and personalized experience.
Alberto, fashion make-up and multidisciplinary artist, will give you the opportunity to dare a glamorous, eccentric make-up, being inspired by the features of your face. Riccardo, a photographer with a passion for video and performance, will create a professional photo shoot with sets and lights. Kate, a visual artist and illustrator from Kiev, will enrich the photographic print with a surprising graphic using her beloved colored pencils.

“The light breath of the wind”, animated reading and workshop to learn how to build objects that move with the wind using recycled and eco-sustainable materials.
Curated by Mirko Artuso, artistic director of the Teatro del Pane in Treviso.

Open to kids from 3 to 12 years old, accompanied by one parent.

WORKSHOPS
From 2:30 to 4:30pm
“Book sculptures”, bookfolding workshop organized by Tipoteca Italiana.
Do you want to give new life to a book you’ve read and no longer use, which maybe lies forgotten in some box or in the garage? With a series of cuts and folds and a little patience, you can turn it into a lovely shelf sculpture.

During this workshop a Christmas tree will be created by learning the basics of bookfolding with the techniques of “mark and fold” and “cut and fold”.

From 5:30 to 7:00pm
“Merry Coffee – Colora con il caffè”, a painting workshop curated by Stefania Gallina, a passionate creative from Treviso and a professional barista, in collaboration with Goppion Caffè, the historic Preganziol roasting company that has been carefully selecting and roasting the best beans for more than seventy years in the world, both for the bar and for home use.

In her works, Stefania Gallina uses coffee to paint on recycled materials, this workshop will therefore allow the participants to explore the use of colors, brushes, liquid coffee and its grounds on simple recycled cardboard sheets, which will be used as a basis for a painting.

During the event, it will be possible to see Goppion’s film dedicated to the world of coffee and its journey from the plantation to the cup.

DJ set by Dyvin, Berlin-based DJ currently in residence at Fabrica.
He plays and produces music mixing different styles, from slow melodic House to Techno Dark. At Merry Fabrica he will select House music, groovy disco tracks and some X-mas drum & bass.
