Possible and necessary futures: art, creativity and web 3.0
Thursday 3 November at 7pm CET Fabrica hosts a debate about Digital Art and NFTs with some important guests in the fields of contemporary art and scientific research.
An opportunity to know more about Digital Art and the various creative and commercial possibilities that this new movement offers: from the birth of Crypto Art and the first projects related to blockchain, to AI and its new applications in the educational and creative fields, and how institutions deal with the new opportunities offered by the web 3.0.
Serena Tabacchi is the Director and Co-founder of MoCDA, Museum of Contemporary Digital Art. Serena worked at TATE and curated some of the first international NFT exhibitions, events and fairs (NFT London, CADAF Miami, CI Bloom Istanbul). She is currently researching possible DAO governances for art institutions and is part of the SuperRare DAO Council. She curated digital art exhibitions for museums and foundations (Museo della Permanente, MAXXI l’Aquila, Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi) and curated the first NFT art auction in Italy. She is part of the BGA board (Blockchain Game Alliance) and works as partnership manager at The Sandbox and Cinello.
Massimo Franceschet, aka hex6c, is a digital artist whose artworks are available as NFTs on the main crypto art galleries such as SuperRare, KnownOrigin, Art Blocks, and Async art. As data scientist he is Associate Professor of Computer at the University of Udine. He is currently on sabbatical and working on a research project called Decentralized Autonomous Education.
Filippo Lorenzin is the Artistic Director of MoCDA – Museum of Contemporary Digital Art. A curator, writer and educator, his practice has been focused on contemporary art and digital culture with the aim of promoting a critical and informed approach to new media since the late 2000s. Parallel to this activity, he worked at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
Rebecca Pedrazzi started working as Art Advisor at Bank of Art, an advisory and investment company active in the art field, also developing a in-depth knowledge in the Old-Masters market. In 2017 she founded the art and culture online magazine NotiziArte.com. As a journalist she writes about national and international art and cultural events focusing on the latest technologies applied in the world of art. Recently she published the book “Futuri possibili. Scenari d’Arte e Intelligenza Artificiale” (Jaca Book Editor, 2021). She regularly holds lectures and masters on AI and art.
