C.O.D. by Alice Nascimben
C.O.D. investigates cognitive dissonance, a phenomenon that manifests itself when ideals and actions are in conflict. Specifically, Alice worked on a video installation in which two screens are in continuous dissonance through the use of sound.
The designer’s intent is to raise public awareness of the incongruity that is created in caring about animals and at the same time eating them, to go beyond speciesism and have a greater conscience in the consumption and purchase of meat.
Alice Nascimben
Alice Nascimben (1995) is a visual designer from Treviso, Italy. Her area of research is linked to the interactions between human beings and the environment, and how these two elements are in continuous mutual influence and transformation. Alice works mainly with video and sound, interested in discovering how new software works as a means of her creativity and research.
